The Great Geauga County Fair proudly presents the Century White Oak Competition for the 2012 fair. On May 19 lumber from the white oak tree that stood on the fairgrounds for over 180 years will be made available for this woodworking and wood carving competition. The time has come to make sure this iconic legacy of the fair lives on through the hands and ideas of craftsman, woodworkers and hobbyist.

Saturday, May 19: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Anyone interested in entering this competition will need to register, pick up the lumber and pay the $25 fee. All proceeds from the entries will be used to purchase trees to be planted on the fairgrounds.

Completed projects will be dropped off at the fair on Tuesday, August 28, 2012 from 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Upon completion and delivery to the fair, each entrant will receive a three (3) day exhibitor’s pass to the 2012 fair.
